“Gay, marica, mariposa, marimacho, machorra” those are some of the terms from an infinitive list of expressions that are used actually in society to refer people that are not happy with their identity and gender, and decide to submit to transformations to obtain a closer appearance to the sex which they are identify. It seems like in Colombia, persist a difficulty to difference and recognize each social group that conforms LGBTI community (lesbians, gays, bisexuals and travesties, transsexual, intersexual). It is important to know that each of these groups is a different world with specific characteristics and clear objectives. But there is a factor that prevails in the entire community and is the look for acceptance and a worthy treat from society. Discrimination to this people form this community has fostered violence, as follows from the annual report of the LGBTI rights observatory. Between February 2013 and February 2014, has been received 94 complaints of violations of rights against people from that community, evidencing cases of intolerance and social marginalization.
