Abstract: The characterization of materials is very important when looking for suitable materials for specific applications, likewise, the techniques or tools used to characterize them represent high experimentation costs. By means of computational physics, the characteristics of the material are simulated and its properties are studied from the computer. Therefore, this project seeks to integrate Nickel as a new prediction material in the PyStruct software tool, in order to determine the ML model to predict its crystalline structure and improve the tool based on the UX. To develop the project, the requirements are established, the characteristics of the sample to be simulated, the training and analysis of different ML models to choose the one with the best correlation between the data. Consequently, it is determined that the Regression Trees model has the best learning result to predict the single crystal structure of Nickel.
