dc.description.abstractResumen en Español En una sociedad individualista, consumista e interconectada con el mundo exterior pero desconectada de sí misma y ante las afectaciones de la educación por la reciente Pandemia, en las cuales el estudiante y la comunidad educativa se distancian de las realidades del contexto, el aprendizaje para el servicio admite un sentido diferente a los aprendizajes escolares puesto que la teoría se convierte en práctica desde la vida, en lo cotidiano; reviste la posibilidad de relacionar lo que se aprende con la vida y al mismo tiempo generar nuevos aprendizajes desde la experiencia. El objetivo de esta investigación fue apropiar el servicio social obligatorio SSO como acción pedagógica encaminada a la humanización de la educación en el colegio Sagrado Corazón de Jesús Hermanas Bethlemitas de la ciudad de Pereira. Para el cumplimiento del objetivo, se desarrolla investigación cualitativa que facilita la comprensión del contexto y de los datos mediante diseño descriptivo de acción participante, con lo cual se buscó otorgar un soporte sólido en el ámbito normativo con sentido de trascendencia a la proyección social institucional y contribuir a la comprensión de la actividad y acciones específicas del servicio social. Como resultados emergen las categorías valores humanos compuesta por un conjunto de valores como el compromiso, el respeto, la tolerancia y la solidaridad; también surgieron las categorías comunicación asertiva, la empatía, la escucha activa, la conciencia social y la responsabilidad social. Finalmente, surge el valor del agradecimiento y se reafirma el servicio social como un tipo de aula expandida donde poner en práctica y adquirir aprendizajes con sentido social. Abstract In an individualistic, consumerist, and interconnected society with the outside world, but disconnected from itself and facing the effects of education during the recent pandemic, in which students and the educational community distance themselves from the realities of the context, service-learning takes on a different meaning from traditional school learning, as theory becomes practice in daily life. It allows for the possibility of relating what is learned to life and at the same time generating new learning experiences from that practical experience. The objective of this research was to appropriate mandatory social service (MSS) as a pedagogical action aimed at the humanization of education at the Sagrado Corazón de Jesús Hermanas Bethlemitas school in Pereira. To achieve this objective, a qualitative research approach was used, which facilitated understanding of the context and data through a descriptive design of participatory action. This approach aimed to provide a solid support for the regulatory framework with a sense of transcendence to institutional social projection and contribute to the understanding of the specific activities and actions of social service. As a result, categories of human values emerged, composed of a set of values such as commitment, respect, tolerance, and solidarity. Additionally, categories of assertive communication, empathy, active listening, social awareness, and social responsibility also emerged. Finally, the value of gratitude emerged, and social service was reaffirmed as a type of expanded classroom where social learning can be put into practice and acquired.es_MX
