This article aims to provide a contextualization of Paul and Seneca into the Roman Empire from the first century of our era. It seeks to clarify various aspects of the Empire, especially those ones related to Stoicism and Christianity as ways of thinking and living. It is also shown how nascent Christianity is swamped by philosophical influences as a result of its interaction with the context. A salvation proposal power is also evident, which as a Good New, points into a hope direction against any hope. It also suggests the Christianity theology versatility -which from its originsilluminates human events through gospel enculturation and the permanent evangelization of the culture.
