| dc.description | El artículo pretende aportar a la solución de una pregunta relevante en Filosofía de la Ciencia respecto a cómo puede esclarecerse el problema meta-teórico del estatuto ontológico de las teorías científicas. Asunto que no puede desconocerse si se quiere clarificar el estatuto que tienen los términos teóricos usados en las teorías científicas. Para ello se acude a las distinciones realizadas en las concepciones enunciativista y estructuralista de la ciencia, señalando los diferentes modos en que estas abordan lo que debe entenderse como teoría científi ca y la manera como esto condiciona las nociones que se tienen acerca de los términos teóricos. Se utilizan las categorías analíticas de la onto-semántica de Fregue para dar claridad acerca de la clase de referencia que tienen las teorías científi cas (objetos o funciones). Finalmente, se propone la designación de las teorías como expresiones predicativas cuya referencia es una función del tipo “x es un P”, distinción que no versa ya sobre las categorías observacional no observacional, sino entre teorías concretas y abstractas, y que lleva a concluir que las teorías pueden designarse como funciones o como objetos. | es-ES |
| dc.description | The main objective of this article is to contributein the solution of a prominent question on Philosophy ofScience regarding the way it is possible to illuminate themetatheoric problem about the ontology statute of scientifi ctheories. It is afi eld that must not be ignored, if the idea isto illuminate the statute that the theoretical terms contain,when referring to scientifi c theories. In order to reach it, theauthor turns to the distinctions defi ned in enunciativist andstructuralist conceptions of science, taking into account thedifferent ways in which these address what is meant as ascientifi c theory, and the way this determines the notionsthey have about theoretical terms. The analytical categoriesof Frege’s ontosemantics are considered, in order to makeit clear about the kind of reference scientifi c theories have(objects or functions).The designation of the theories aspredicate expressions whose referenceis a function of type“x is a P”, a distinction that does not relate observationalcategories and not on observational ones are proposed, butbetween concrete and abstract theories, and that leads toconclude that theories may be described as functions as wellas objects. | en-US |
