dc.description.abstract	El proyecto arquitectónico se encuentra ubicado en la ciudad de Cartago, Valle; en la zona de la antigua estación del ferrocarril contiguo al barrio Fabio Salazar Gómez, un lugar conocido por su inseguridad y mal estado de su infraestructura. En medio de este conflicto y abandono social está la Estación del Ferrocarril, un edificio patrimonial con mucho potencial y muy poco utilizado. Teniendo en cuenta estos aspectos, se plantea el objetivo de crear unos talleres como espacio cultural integrador entre el barrio y la ciudad, generando espacios adaptables por medio del diseño modular. Con la intención de articular la estación con la propuesta, para que ambas potencialicen el lugar y generen un uso distinto al existente. El proyecto se abre hacia el espacio público existente y la edificación patrimonial generando unos recorridos transversales que continúan el flujo peatonal del lugar. En el oeste se realiza un tratamiento para ubicar el comercio informal existente en el lugar como zona de amortiguación al proyecto. En su interior este cuenta con unos talleres polivalentes, una aula máxima para actividades de mayor envergadura, y esta se comunica hacia la estación para realizar actividades culturales públicas. / Abstract: The architectural project is located in the city of Cartago, Valle; In the area of the old railway station next to the Fabio Salazar Gómez neighborhood, a place known for its insecurity and poor state of its infrastructure. In the middle of this conflict and social abandonment is the Railway Station, a heritage building with much potential and very little used. Taking into account these aspects, the objective is to create a building to host a workshop to integrate a cultural space between the neighborhood and the city, generating adaptable spaces through modular design. With the intention of articulating the station with the proposal, so that both potentiate the place and generate a use other than the existing one. The project opens to the existing public space and the patrimonial building generating transverse routes that continue the pedestrian flow of the place. In the west a treatment is carried out to locate the existing informal commerce in the place as a buffer zone for the project. In its interior this has multipurpose workshops, a maximum classroom for larger activities, and this is communicated to the station for public cultural activities.	es
