| dc.description | A pesar del considerarse como una característica determinante del siglo XXI, el envejecimiento demográfico es un proceso que desafortunadamente nos está tomando por sorpresa. Y la sorpresa se acrecienta si se tiene en cuenta su rapidez: América Latina está envejeciendo a un ritmo cuatro veces más rápido al que caracterizó el envejecimiento de los países del llamado primer mundo. En consecuencia el tema de la vejez debe ser retomado de inmediato, no sólo por los profesionales de la salud, también por los profesionales de las distintas áreas relacionadas con el diseño de aquellos espacios que se convierten en el hogar temporal, y en la mayoría de los casos, el hábitat que compartirán hasta la muerte. | es-ES |
