dc.description.abstract	Este articulo presenta los resultados de un proceso académico correspondiente a la primera cohorte de la maestría en arquitectura y urbanismo, teniendo como lugar de intervención el Batallón San Mateo, por su interés en la nueva re configuración urbana de la ciudad de Pereira. La estrategia metodológica consiste en el abordaje del espacio bajo un sistema donde la vivienda es el elemento estructurante del conjunto urbano. Donde el proceder metodológico se expone como un mecanismo que articula el dialogo entre la unidad básica, expuesta aquí como unidad residencial y el conjunto, como resultado de proyección de un prototipo metodológico modulado de diseño para el desarrollo de un proyecto urbano. Esta aproximación se hace mediante el estudio de referentes teóricos que permitan re conocer la historia como herramienta mediadora para el abordaje del proyecto. Esta apuesta metodológica admite repensar estrategias de aproximación a nuevas re configuraciones urbanas, y a su vez como escenario de abordaje del batallón San Mateo. Abstract: City Park, between the unit and the whole, presents the results of an academic process corresponding to the first cohort of the master's degree in architecture and urban planning, with the intervention of the San Mateo Battalion, due to its interest in the new urban configuration from the city of Pereira. The methodological strategy consists of the approach of the space under a system where the housing is the structuring element of the urban set. Exposed this way, the methodological procedure is exposed as a mechanism that articulates the dialogue between the basic unit, exposed here as a residential unit and the whole, as a result of the projection of a modulated methodological prototype of design for the development of an urban project. This methodological process allows us to approach a piece of approximately 60 hectares, where its geographical position, geo-morphological characteristics and its state in the citizens' imagination allow us to rethink approach strategies in the new urban configurations.	es_MX
