\ Abstract: This article has the aim of interpreting the forms in which yagé taking constitutes self-practices in subjectivities within the Inga community of the Sibundoy Valley and subjectivities ascribed to external cultures of the town of Cartago. Some authors were taken into account, as Foucault for the topic of self-practices, as a base for the investigation. As for the topic of interculturality it will be used Grimson and the category of subjectivity from the perspective of Tassin and Foucault. It was taken a qualitative approach with a method composition between pluritopic hermeneutics, which understands the difference of the multiple and promotes the intercultural dialog; and the genealogy, that permits reading the phenomenon from local events and making the analysis of the experiences approached, using techniques as life stories and semi-structured interviews. The analysis of the information provided by the participants, shows that the practice of yagé taking, generates transformations in the subjectivities of both communities, from the path taken by the participants and their yagé crossed life experiences; bearing in mind that it is a differentiated experience and that everything depends on the vital moments, the needs that each one has and the intention upon living the practice, being achieved through the convergence between cultures, which reveals the importance of studying different ways of transforming oneself.
