Resumen
The article is the product of a research and a reflection on "virtual education and the use of ICT in the teaching practices at Universidad Católica de Pereira ", which as part of a diagnostic, enables a reflection of a group of students from the Cohort XXIII of Specialization in Education and Human Development at the Universidad Católica de Pereira, regarding: What the pedagogical practices associated with the use of ICT in virtual education by a group of teachers from the same institution are. The nature of this study exposes pedagogical practices associated with the use of ICT in the education, which are explicit throughout virtual education at Universidad Católica de Pereira (UCP). The sample for this study consisted of 18 teachers who guide different courses in undergraduate and graduate academic programs at UCP, who are hired as full time teachers, and have served the institution for more than 10 years. The findings are highlighted from surveys, interviews and documents review. The results showed that despite UCP has continuous virtual training processes for teachers; teaching practices are just limited to the use of video beams, which can also be understood from students’ point of view, as if ICTs were only represented by the use of this only one resource.
