Understanding, problematizing, as a contrast of the historical evolution of the phenomenon with the theories assumed as referents, which allow us to understand the context where it was carried out. The categories that gave meaning to this monograph were, hegemonic relationship, sweetened government strategies, and rupture. The assumed scope is descriptive. Likewise, its realization was justified, so that current and future generations understand the role played by the sugar agroindustries of Valle del Cauca, such as the Riopaila Mill and the Colombina candy factory, dominant, in the so-called sweetened government, through life of the cane cutters. In addition, in the development of culture and new symbolic imaginaries that can be redefined. In this line, the objective was to analyze the impact generated by these sugar companies, in their projection of social responsibility. The research methodology is documentary with a comprehensive and at the same time interpretive epistemology. The approach to reality was through experience, and the testimonies of actors and their experiences, as well as the bibliographic and theoretical support. As a result, proposals are put forward that support the key idea "that the taste of dance was not so sweet", and the social contribution is evidenced in the educational intervention that is proposed to the youth group, with a view to their conscious and successful articulation to the culture.
