Se trata del análisis de una narración mitológica de plena actualidad al entroncarse su temática (mujer víctima de la disputa entre dos varones) con los actuales estudios de género. La orientación metodológica opta por un doble análisis que recoge tanto los principios básicos de la corriente formalista como los de la iconología. Si bien durante veinte siglos las diferencias plásticas han sido las únicas variantes en la evolución de la representación del mito, se percibe una tendencia que sitúa el foco en la protagonista perseguida y en la visualización de sus emociones, otorgando un giro al sentido primigenio del mito que castigaba a la mujer.In this work we study a selection of the prolific representation of the myth of Apolloand Daphne from the Roman period to the twentieth century. This is the analysisof a mythological narrative whose theme is fully current (woman victim of a conflictbetween two men) as it converges with current gender studies. The methodologicalaspect consists of a double analysis that includes the basic principles of theformalist current and those of iconology.
