Facultad de Ciencias Básicas e Ingeniería, Pereira, 2014En una tendencia mundial por incrementar el rendimiento de cualquier tipo de trabajo se ha aumentado el interés por el estudio de métodos y tiempos, combinado con la metodología de 5’s y la distribución de planta. Donde quiera que se realice un trabajo manual existirá siempre una oportunidad para hallar el medio más económico de hacerlo y de determinar la cantidad de trabajo que debería hacerse en un periodo de tiempo dado y de forma eficiente. Es por ello, que en este trabajo se realiza un estudio para el aprovechamiento de los recursos existentes de mano de obra y equipos partiendo de un estudio de métodos y tiempos, 5’S y el análisis de la distribución física del área de pintura de la empresa MAGNETRON S.A.S. Con el fin de realizar mejoras para obtener un mejor flujo de los productos y personas, se presenta un análisis que partiendo de la distribución actual de la planta, inversión de equipos (hornos, cabinas de pintura) y acondicionamiento del proceso se inclina al ahorro en el recorrido del producto y, por consiguiente, un menor desperdicio de tiempos en los procesos productivos. En este sentido, con su diseño e implementación se logró obtener una mayor eficiencia en la productividad, costos y el flujo más continuo del proceso. / abstract: In a world trend with the purpose of increasing the performance of any type of job a wide interest has converged in the study of methods and time, combining the 5’s methodology and the plant distribution. Wherever any handwork is done, there will always exist an issue to discover the cheapest mean of doing that job, and also to determine the quantity of work that should be done efficiently in a specific period of time. That is why; this work carries out a study of the achievement in labor existing resources, equipment and processes, starting from a study of methods and time, 5’s and the analysis of the physic circulation in the painting area of MAGNETRON S.A.S. enterprise. In order to implement upgrades in flow of products and people, an analysis is presented starting from the current plant distribution, investment of equipment (furnaces, paint booths) and conditioning the process is inclined to save the product path so that a less waste of time in the productive processes is evidenced.
