Es por ello que la presente investigación adquiere importancia, en la medida en que se pretende reconocer el impacto que estos hechos de violencia o destrucción empiezan a determinar de forma positiva o negativa el sentido de vida del sujeto en particular. Desde esta problemática social se intentará reconocer la noción de destrucción y su relación con el sentido de vida presente en los discursos de tres jóvenes de la ciudad de Pereira infractores a la ley, que han pasado por procesos de institucionalización, hecho éste que será reflexionado desde los aportes teóricos de Erich Fromm quien propone desde el fenómeno de destrucción, el “síndrome de decadencia”, y desde Viktor Frankl el sentido de la vida, asociado al sentido del amor y del sufrimiento. El abordaje teórico que se asume para la presente investigación se une a las prácticas de un paradigma cualitativo, el cual pretende comprender e interpretar el fenómeno y su entorno real a la luz de los planteamientos de Erich Fromm y Viktor Frankl, que llevará al reconocimiento amplio y preciso del problema, facilitando así la construcción de un conocimiento científico. Palabras Claves: Sentido de vida, sentido del amor, sentido del sufrimiento, adolescencia, violencia, destrucción, agresividad, síndrome de decadencia, necrofilia.The process of this research highlights a social crisis in which the present communities that are in relation to the phenomenon so called violence and the desire of destruction, in which has been awakened rapidly in humans, the manifestation of a dehumanizing phenomenon shelters the new societies and it’s internalized in youths with greater acceptance. That is why this research becomes so important, insofar as that is to recognize the impact that these acts of violence or destruction begin to determine this aspect in a positive or negative way the sense of the subject’s life in particular. From this social problem we will try to recognize the notion of destruction and its relation to the meaning of life today, that will be given in the speech of three young men from the city of Pereira who have broken the law once and that have gone though processes of institutionalizing an act that is reflected from the theoretical contributions of Erich Fromm who proposed from the phenomenon of destruction, the “syndrome of decay” and from Victor Frankl the meaning of life, associated with the sense of love and suffering.
