IP móvil es un estándar creado por el IETF el cual pretende darle una mejor disposición y utilidad para los usuarios que por necesidad o gusto están continuamente conectados y en movimiento, pero más allá de prestar un servicio confiable y útil se deben tener consideraciones importantes como son los mecanismos de seguridad que IP móvil implementa para que este servicio se preste de la mejor forma. La implementación del nuevo protocolo llamado IPv6 tendrá un impacto importante dentro del estudio ya que con esta versión se realizan los estudios para la implementación de los mecanismos que ayudan a IP móvil en su funcionamiento. De esta forma, el estudio realizado en el presente proyecto ayudará al mejor entendimiento de los mecanismos de seguridad como la infraestructura AAA el protocolo Bootstrapping y el protocolo EAP que se encuentran en estudio y que servirán de base para futuras implementaciones dentro del marco del los escenarios que se involucran en los entornos IP móvil El impacto que tendrá en Colombia IP móvil, se observa en el constante crecimiento de los equipos con acceso inalámbrico, lo que obliga a plantear en este trabajo un documento flexible y confiable para que se puedan observar y comprender los mecanismos de seguridad y así se logre aumentar el nivel de conocimiento que brinde confianza al usuario en el momento de prestar un servicio como móvil basado en IP. /Abstract: Standards that appearing as technology advances, increasingly involve the safety of those just by the simple requirement to maintain the confidentiality of data. Mobile IP is an standard created by the IETF which is only purpose is to give a better layout and useful for users that by need or taste are continuously connected and in motion, but beyond that to provides a reliable and useful it must be very important considerations such as security mechanisms to implement mobile IP service is provided in the right way. Implementation of the new protocol called IPv6 will have a major impact in the study because with this version are made studies for mechanisms implementation that help mobile IP function.
