En buena parte pertenecientes a la época colonial y republicanaLa ciudad de Pereira en especial en su zona céntrica cuenta con un gran número de edificaciones de interés patrimonial de diversos lenguajes arquitectónicos La intención de este trabajo es poner en manifiesto la sustentabilidad de dos componentes que relacionan el tema de la arquitectura. El primer componente es “la Intervención” con aplicación a edificaciones que poseen valor cultural para la ciudad de Pereira. El segundo componente es el “Patrimonio cultural risaraldense”, se hace el análisis del área de estudio y se realiza una aplicación complementaria que combina la intervención con el patrimonio cultural en aras de mostrar la sustentabilidad que conlleva construir sobre lo preexistente en términos de preservación de la memoria arquitectónica y cultural de la ciudad.\ Abstract: The center of the city of Pereira has a set of buildings ancient many of them cataloged with cultural value, a number of these is only inventoried and elsewhere declared under the law as a cultural heritage building of great architectural, historical and cultural values.
