En la presente investigación se describe el proceso de adaptación y certificación de las empresas medianas del sector hotelero de la ciudad de Pereira a la NTS-TS 002 y se identifican las prácticas de sostenibilidad que actualmente llevan a cabo las empresas medianas del sector hotelero no certificadas. /Abstract: The technical standards of sustainable tourism are created with the objective of specifying the guidelines that companies are dedicated to the provision of tourist services, that must follow to prevent negative economics, socio-cultural and environmental impacts through the optimization and the use of all the resources necessary to carry out its activity. these standards vary for each type of establishment and its implementation which is mandatory for the renewal of the national tourism registry, however, many establishments decide to go further and obtain certification. this research describes the process of adaptation and the certification.
