El presente documento cuenta el proceso de investigación que se realizó en la comunidad emberá chamí en el municipio de Marsella Risaralda para el diseño de la escuela indígena, abordando temáticas como hábitat y cultura las cuales influyen sobre el territorio con un enfoque comunitario, cuyo objetivo es fortalecer, desarrollar y mantener las tradiciones indígenas a partir de una intervención arquitectónica del equipamiento educativo, vinculando directamente a la población estudiantil, abordando desde las necesidades existentes de la comunidad para el desarrollo de esta, condiciones físicas del sitio donde se plantea la intervención, comprendiendo el significado y uso que la comunidad le da a esta haciendo participe al modelo de educación etnográfico el cual vincula la educación propia y la occidental. Abstract: This document describes the research process that was carried out in the Emberá Chamí community in the municipality of Marsella Risaralda for the design of the indigenous school, addressing issues such as habitat and culture which influence the territory with a community approach, whose objective is strengthen, develop and maintain indigenous traditions from an architectural intervention of educational equipment, directly linking the student population, addressing from the existing needs of the community for the development of this, physical conditions of the site where the intervention is proposed, including the meaning and use that the community gives to it by participating in the model of ethnographic education which links the own and the western education.
