This research describes educational practices around the topic of citizenship competencies, which apply eight teachers of the educational institution, as well as their degree of rapprochement and assimilation to the subject; given to which relevance, not only from the MEN (Ministry of education), but also from society itself, to the latter as a strategy that transversalizada to the PEI and the curriculum of the institutions. That is precisely where this research is relevant since the educational institution is located in one of the most vulnerable sectors of the municipality of Carthage with multiple social problems, one of the causes that gave rise to that from the Ministry of education, was selected from the year 2011 as institution pioneered to address the issue as a transverse axis in its formation. This research is addressed through the analysis of three categories that lead to give response to the issue that gave rise to it, such as educational practices, relationship master educating and powers citizen, being this last which mainstreams the entire investigation. This is qualitative, phenomenological design, and is directed to eight teachers of the educational institution.
