El turismo de bienestar en el sector salud, durante muchos años ha estado en el país, pero por falta de innovación, se tiene como consecuencia su escaso crecimiento; el actual trabajo de investigación radica en las variables afectadas (bilingüismo, infraestructura e internacionalización). El sector de turismo en bienestar, en la ciudad de Pereira, es reconocido por ser fuerte y de mayor cantidad de servicios de esta índole, también se le reconoce que es la ciudad con mayor movilidad de turistas por el Aeropuerto internacional Matecaña,(sin olvidar las personas que viajan por vía terrestre), colocándola en una de las regiones más privilegiadas en posición geoestratégica y comercialmente fuerte; pero a pesar de esto, los turistas no llegan buscando servicios de bienestar y salud, la mayoría de demanda de los ingresados en los últimos años es por turismo de negocios.Es por estas premisas que la investigación propone realizar un diagnóstico del reglón de turismo de bienestaren el sector salud, en las variables anteriormente expuestas, por medio de estudios que demuestren sus características, la ventaja competitiva, e identificación de fortalezas del sector; también se realizaron una serie de encuestas a diferentes entidades para tener una visión más amplia de los detalles a mejorar, generando así el crecimiento y reconocimiento de la ciudad tanto por el gobiernocomo por entidades nacionales e internacionales. / Abstract: Tourism of wellness in healthcare for many years has been in the country but due to lack of innovation, it has resulted in insufficient growth; the current research work lies in the affected variables (bilingualism, infrastructure and internationalization). The tourism sector in welfare in the city of Pereira, is recognized as strong and as many such services, also be recognized that it is the city with greater mobility of tourists at the Matecañainternational Airport (not forgetting people travelling by road), placing in one of the wealthiest regions in position geostrategic and commercially strong; but this does not infer that tourists become precisely by health and welfare services, most of the demand of the admitted in recent years is for business tourism. Is for these premises that the research intends to make a diagnosis of the screed of wellness tourism sector health in the variables previously exposed, by means of studies showing its features, competitive advantage, and identification of strengths of the sectors; a series of surveys of various entities were also to have a broader view of the details to improve, passing on the growth and recognition of the city by the government and national and international organizations alike.
