resumen en español: El presente artículo reflexivo brinda información y permite relacionar conceptos sobre habilidades del terapeuta como la empatía y la relación que esta establece en la terapia con niños, desde el enfoque cognitivo conductual; la inquietud sobre la influencia de la empatía nace a partir de la pregunta ¿Como influye la empatía del terapeuta en los procesos psicoterapéuticos de niños diagnosticados con Trastorno por déficit de atención e hiperactividad (TDAH)?, por consiguiente se llevó a cabo un análisis de antecedentes sobre estos conceptos. Donde se establece de manera general y no especifica en niños, que la empatía como habilidad juega un papel fundamental en la eficiencia y la determinación de la relación terapéutica, entre terapeuta – consultante, así mismo se resalta que la relación se construye por ambas partes y que el terapeuta debe ser flexible y generar una adecuada adherencia al tratamiento para lograr resultados exitosos y prolongados. Abstract:This reflective article provides information and makes it possible to relate concepts about therapist skills such as empathy and the relationship it establishes in therapy with children, from the cognitive-behavioral approach; The concern about the influence of empathy arises from the question: How does the therapist's empathy influence the psychotherapeutic processes of children diagnosed with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)? background on these concepts. Where it is established in a general way and not specifically in children, that empathy as a skill plays a fundamental role in the efficiency and determination of the therapeutic relationship, between therapist - consultant, likewise it is highlighted that the relationship is built by both parties and that the therapist must be flexible and generate adequate adherence to treatment to achieve successful and prolonged results.
