dc.descriptionThe following text tries to approach the thematic one of the Memory from the interpretation of progress demonstrated in the urban renovation in Pereira -and special in the construction of the Integrated System of Massive Transport SITM-Megabús -. Raises that Pereira lives between the Memory, History and the Posmodernity, but no of them really reflects the being City; the Memory because it is guarded by a story of the history framed in the frenetic speeches of the consumption through the Average Mass; History, because -in equality with the previous thing he is partial, "a history" is only counted and the past it is stumped more and more in a single version; and, the Posmodernity, because although it is certain we lived in the society of the means -as it suggests Vattimo-, of the mediatic speeches, which has occurred in Pereira is not indeed the plurality of the speeches -that impels the posmodernity-, but the to silence of the diverse thing, to differ, the Citizen and its relations, in a phrase: "a silence of the being of the City to favor the beauty of the cement". We have one more a "prettier city", but we must be asked: what City?en-US
dc.descriptionEl siguiente texto pretende abordar la temática de la Memoria desde la interpretación de progreso evidenciada en la renovación urbana en Pereira -y en especial en la construcción del Sistema Integrado de Transporte Masivo SITM-Megabús-. Plantea que Pereira vive entre la Memoria, la Historia y la Posmodernidad, pero ninguna de ellas refleja realmente el ser Ciudad; la Memoria porque está velada por un relato de la historia enmarcado en los discursos frenéticos del consumo a través de los Mass Media; la Historia, porque -en consonancia con lo anterior- es parcial, sólo se cuenta "una historia" y el pasado se difumina cada vez más en una sola versión; y, la Posmodernidad, porque si bien es cierto vivimos en la sociedad de los medios -como lo sugiere Vattimo-, de los discursos mediáticos, lo que se ha dado en Pereira no es precisamente la pluralidad de los discursos -que impulsa la posmodernidad-, sino el callamiento de lo diverso, del disenso, del Ciudadano y sus relaciones, en una frase: "Un callamiento del ser de la Ciudad para favorecer la belleza del cemento". Tenemos una "ciudad más linda", pero debemos preguntarnos: ¿qué Ciudad?es-ES
