\Abstract: This document collects information about the integration of two technologies that are currently important to provide transport and routing of packets in fixed networks and mobile networks. Mobile IP and MPLS. MPLS was created to provide transport and fast routing of packets in fixed networks. On the other hand Mobile IP is the Protocol created to support mobility in mobile networks. Therefore, to support mobility of IP networks that work under MPLS, it is necessary to make the integration of the two technologies. The purpose of this document is to provide the most relevant information about MPLS and mobile IP separately and then provide information on proposals that have been made over the past decade closer integration. Abstract: This project is a work carried out under the modality of online research residence, it is about making a comparison between the IP mobility protocols for IPv4 and IPv6, through the selected Simulator Network Simulator version 2 (NS-2) and the tool Mobiwan. In the elaboration of the investigation, the respective exploration of the different simulators that support the mobility protocols, information about them and the Mobiwan tool is carried out. In order to perform the respective simulations of the behavior of the protocols, to be able to see the performance of each one and in the end to give results of those simulations.
